Thanks for sharing this - I've been quite fascinated to watch them come together. Will have to see if I can get some cubes at the local craft store and try this for myself.
I did wonder about making some of the detail more 3D by doing it in paper and pasting the features to the cube - but realising how small those cubes are, I suspect that way lies madness!
