The brewing system

I wired up the heating element, using a 14 gauge power cord. I drilled and tapped the base for the ground wire, then soldered it. I capped it off with a pvc fitting and sealed it with some plumbers goop.

The brewing system

This is the mash tun. I removed the spigot and installed a 1/2" ball valve with a quick connect and a stainless mesh. I added a valve at the top for the wort return. The silicone tubing will rest on top of the grain bed. This will also be used for sparging.

The brewing system

I'm building a recirculating infusion mash system to brew beer using all grain. The main component of this system is a heat tube, to maintain mashing temperatures while the pump circulates the wort through the grains. I bought some 1 1/4" copper tubing and some copper fittings to allow me to use a hot water heater element and flow the wort past it. I added a thermowell to monitor the temp as it passes back out to the mash tun.

Progress on the M113s

I have added some turrets from GZG. I filled in the hole in the hull with epoxy putty and used magnets on the hull and turrets. I only had 3 turrets so I used one of the TOW units that came with the OG M113s. I had to file down the TOW hatch to get it to sit flush with the hull. For future reference, fill the TOW hatch with epoxy before adding the lid, to allow for more material for the magnet.

Work on the M113s

Here are some OG M113s I'll be using for the District 9-type game.

15mm Modern Africans

These are the OG technicals I'll be using for a District 9-type game I hope to run at Muster. I still need to add the mg to one of the pickups.
