Warmaster

The first unit of Pendraken dwarves. This will be a warrior unit. I combined crossbows and swords in the background unit to make rangers.

Warmaster

The Ironbreakers are done! I didn't get too fancy with them and they went really quick. Now I need more dwarves to paint!

Warmaster

Once again, My AADD has sent my mind off on another project tangent. It's been a while since I've played WHFB. I had an Empire army built from a couple of Battlemasters sets. I was just starting to get together stuff for a dwarf army when GW came out with a new version of the rules and codexes.. Blah, Blah.. Everybody who plays GW knows the deal.. We focused more on 40K and Fantasy Battles faded away.

Now we're playing FWC, which is Warmaster, and I like the system. Why shouldn't we just make up a few armies and play some Warmaster?

So.. What you see is the first unit of my dwarf Warmaster army. They are Anvil Dwarves from Eureka (Ironbreakers). I converted one to hold a unit banner.

Begun, the Fantasy Wars have!

Modern African Regulars

Here are some of Rebel Minis African Regulars. I originally got these to make a warlord retinue for a District 9 scenario I was working on. I can use them for some modern conflict stuff as well now. Hopefully Rebel Mike will have some command and squad support weapons made for these guys as well. I have the irregulars ready to start painting. I still need to paint the technicals too.

Ogre

Yes.. I have the pocket games from the 80s.. We played Ogre and Gev a lot. I found a personal version of Ogre on BGG that had all new artwork. After seeing some of the completed games that other people had built using the artwork, I decided to make my own.

I printed out the counters on 8.5" x 11" sticker sheets. I used 1" square laser-cut mdf bases that I spray painted. Stick the stickers to the bases, brush on a coat of matte medium to seal it all in.

Now I need to plot out the map and print out some charts and Ogre stat sheets.

And here's the map. I plotted it out on a 36" wide roll of paper. I'm planning on mounting it to some hardboard or foamcore and seal it with matte medium.

I've already started working on making new, larger counters for GEV and Shockwave using the original artwork. I may have to go back and make a set of original Ogre counters as well.
